Wisdom
On the Heart Path:
The Heart Path is your unique journey through life. The things on this path are the things that align with the best version of yourself—your true, loving, and open-hearted self. When you are on your Heart Path, you feel joyful, free, and full of love. This is why it is safe to trust it, even if you do not know exactly what lies ahead.
When you are on your Heart Path, you feel happy, connected, and like life is full of magic. Things just seem to fall into place.
Sometimes, the things that show up may not be exactly what you expected. It might not be the situation, person, or thing you thought was best for you. But that is simply because what you think is best might not be the most aligned with the true, open-hearted version of yourself.
Once you begin to understand how your Heart Path feels, the real work (or more like play!) is to clear away any beliefs or thoughts that are keeping you separate from it. Then, all you need to do is remember to step back into it, again and again.
It really is that simple.
(By the way, this is what my small group mentorship will focus on. If you emailed me about it, I am sorry for the delay. I am still finalizing the details, like the start date. I am eager to begin, but I think September will work best for everyone.)
On Asking Small Questions
Someone asked if it ever gets annoying to ask about small or unimportant things. Things like asking if the relationship they are in is the right one, what to wear, or if they should buy a pair of jeans they really want. This person said, “I have access to infinite wisdom, and the only question I can think to ask is whether I should buy these shoes. It feels silly.”
The response was lovely (and I remember it because I often ask about shoes too!):
First, time does not exist for us the same way it does for you. The idea of wasting time implies that we have places to be and things to do. Your questions, big or small, are never a waste of time. We exist in a place of love and joy, and we delight in the smallest things, just as we do in the big ones. To us, every question matters. Whether your question is about something small or big, it is a joy to answer.
Second, your questions are not small. You may feel they are insignificant, especially when compared to big questions about life or the universe. However, the expansion of the universe happens through you.
You, as a human being, are the universe reaching into the unknown. Each choice you make, even the small ones, helps the universe grow. Whether you buy a pair of jeans or not, it is still a choice. It’s a choice that expands you in one direction or another. Buying the jeans might make you feel happy and excited, or choosing to save money could make you feel empowered and in control. Both are choices that expand your energy.
There is no right or wrong. Every choice leads you to more growth and expansion. The universe is growing through each of your small decisions.
Finally, and most importantly:
The more you ask questions, big or small, the more you are connecting to your inner wisdom.
The more you connect with your inner energy, the easier it becomes to trust it. As you ask questions, you allow more of this energy to flow through you. The more energy you allow in, the stronger your connection becomes. The stronger your connection, the easier it is to hear your inner wisdom, especially when bigger decisions need to be made.
When you ask small questions like, “Should I wear jeans or a skirt?” or “Should I have sushi or Thai food for dinner?”, you are practicing listening to your energy. As you continue to practice, you build trust in yourself. Then, when bigger questions come, like “Should I change careers?” or “Is this situation aligned with my true path?”, you already have the confidence to trust yourself.
By tuning into your energy every day, you make it easier to make decisions with clarity and trust, knowing your inner wisdom is always there to help you.
